Catering Science and Hotel Management
About the department

    We have been training the students since 1987 for the Hospitality Industry that has tremendous potential for lucrative jobs globally for trained hands. This industry is dynamic and expects thorough professionalism from the Catering & Hotel Management students. Realizing this fact, we train and season the students to make them employable at different Operational and Managerial levels of Hospitality Industry, through the judicious mix of theory and practical.

          The Department has excellent infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced staff to train the students to the standards expected by the Hospitality Industry. A new block with modern infrastructure is constructed to impart effective training and to provide professional ambience to the students.

The facilities include 

  • Basic/ Quantity/ Advance training kitchens

  •  Air conditioned restaurant and bar

  •  Air conditioned guest rooms with all amenities

  • Banquet hall for function catering

  • Air conditioned Conference hall

  • Bakery and confectionery

  • Spacious class rooms with audio visual facilities

  •  Air conditioned discussion rooms.

           The Department has Tie-ups with classified Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs, Fast Food outlets, Food Industries and other related firms to offer in house training  to the students. Students are encouraged to take up part time job that gives them experience and confidence.

          The department also provides UGC sponsored Career Oriented Programmes in addition to regular programmes to help students competent enough to face the challenges.
